After the hurricane I need to do a lot of cleanup and replanting what would you suggest

You should go to your local nursery or home improvement store and ask their experts what they think...they stock what grows well in your area and can give you tips that we can't. Also, due to the hurricane (what a mess, God bless you!) there may be huge shortages on plants, so you may not have the selection you want at the moment. Best Wishes and Hang in There!
