Anytime. When the flower is dead just pinch it off or snip. The more you do this the more blooms youll have.

I'm sorry. I actually phrased the question wron. What I meant, when should I start pruning plants and bushes for the winter?

It depends on the type of plant. Some plants, like rhododendrons, start setting their blooms for the next season right after they're finished blooming in the current season. So you want to prune them immediately after they're finished blooming. Wait too long and you'll be cutting off next season's blooms. Can you be more specific about what types of bushers/plants the are? Are they flowering plants?

  • I deadhead my plants constantly! With most flowering plants, if you deadhead them, they will produce more flowers.

Deadhead as the flowers look less than fresh. (In order to deadhead correctly, it's a constant thing...every time you walk past, you should probably find something to remove!)
