For soap scum,make a mixture of white vinegar and water 50/50 add a dab od dawn and a dab of jet dry.Use a squeegee with a daily shower spray after every use.That cuts back on the deposits
I had horrible build up my shower door when I moved in. Nothing commercial worked. !!
I tried putting salt on a lemon half and scrubbing, worked great! Did not scratch door. I scrubbed on let set a few minutes and rinsed off. Had to do bottom edge 2 x but not a biggie . No horrible smells and cheap. ;)
My husband just remodeled our bathroom and we have the most gorgeous glass shower now. We have been using a squigee every time we shower to try and keep it spot free...

I personally clean my shower door with a household steam cleaner.
A glass door covered with scum and hard water spots can be cleaned by Lime Away or CLR.
i've used Mr. clean erasers they seem to work well

I'm gonna test out the Wyd-40 theory today on my dads bathroom which is beyond gross.I hope it take away all the gunk off
