How can I make an inexpensive pathway for my front yard?

Go to your local nursery and look around for ideas. They only stock plants that will thrive in your area and can also give you advice for planting and maintenance. Take pictures while you are there for inspiration.

1. Conserving water - Water buts everywhere you can, also tanks. If you keep Pond reed in them they will stay fresh. The cheapest pathway would be either Stepping stones and Gravel or just Gravel maybe with rocks to hold it in or Lawn edge. Flowers - Large Cactus for structure and a mix of what would grow well in your area............

If you have any golf courses around you, go visit them. They have arid landscaping along with green turf. Because of the high water usage for the turf, they have found ways to make low water usage plants look lush.
