Felting project

Trying to make a felted wool garland to add a pop of color for 2 small Christmas trees. I bought roving, is the next step to pull of some roving and start using a needle. Then is it nessary to have the needle sponge or brush block?

You need the felting needle because it has a burr on it to catch bits of wool. I use the brush block because it keeps my body parts safe from puncture wounds. I suppose that you could very carefully try and felt your roving without the block.

Pull, bunch, and/or twist your roving into the shape you want and begin poking it with the needle. You will quickly see how it works and what you need to do to create the shape you want.

I love your idea of a felted garland!

    Hope that helps
