Decoupage Makeup Brush Container

Easy
I have this acrylic makeup brush container that works fab for storing my makeup brushes and indeed does a fine job. I didn't want to throw it out so I thought I would try a simple solution. Problem was, it showed every finger print and nasty makeup smudge so easily. I found myself cleaning it almost every day. I wanted a fast and easy solution to that problem and thought of this. Hope you like it and find it useful. Please visit my blog for more crafty ideas!
At least I will not have to deal with those nasty smudges anymore! Easy Peasy!
Before photo - as you can see the nasty smudges.
Yuck - here too.
I cleaned it with alcohol first.
I mapped out about how much paper product I would need.
I use mod podge to gently cover the side.
cut off any excess with Exacto knife.
flapped over the side about one inch into the container for coverage.
used a complimentary paper for the sides - don't forget you can use your fingers gently to smooth out any bumps
added some decorative Martha Stewart Crafts® Decoupage Paper Cutouts
added two layers of mod podge to exterior
Let it dry well and voilà!
