Try using a liberal amount of paint colors,(still wet), and turn on a very strong fan.
I'd use a water-type syringe, the kind you use when you give pets or children liquid medicines. You can easily squeeze the paint as fast or slow as you like. And, tilt the canvas/board/etc. to an angle so that you can tilt more or less after the paint is applied, to make the paint drip faster or slower.
Your paint has to be thin enough to run. Add water or a product that thins out your paint then use some of the techniques listed above.
Acrylic Ink. Make a horizontal row at the top of your piece in the desired area and then just tilt
Fluid acrylic paint works well but have to sprsy water on it with a spray bottle
wet your wall with water where you want the drips to start. this will thin the paint and make it run
Try different thickness of paint by adding water slowly til you get what you want
OR
Set up crayons along top of canvas and use blow dryer to melt and allow to drip down
Sometimes I mix acrypics with alcohol instead of water because it dries faster. the thicker paint has more pigment in it, the ones in tubes or jars ( like Golden) from an art supply store- more vibrant colors. ive heard Unicorn Spit has a deep color intensity, I think it's thin enough to drip freely, but not positive.
I paint with both, Ann Marie. For Acrylics, I dilute the paint with a few drops of water. With Oils, I use a few drops of odorless turpentine. To encourage things along, I sometimes "push" the paint with my blow-dryer set on Cool. The pigment of Acrylics may be a bit faint for your results, in which case, do another coat if wanting a vivid color. Make sure you keep the canvas in an upright position so gravity pulls the paint downward.
I have used crayons and a blow dryer set to high heat. Came out just fine on canvas.
