People swear by using boiling water to kill them. Here’s a link that gives you more options, too. All cheap and pretty much home made.

  • Maintaining a yard takes a bit of work. Treating once in April does not solve the problem. How often do you mow? What is your lawn care routine? How much time do you have to devote to your yard?

I boil 2 kettles of water every morning to pour on weeds. Plus I pull or dig out when they pop up. Now I know not everyone has the time to do this, but even 10 minutes a day makes a difference - so you do not need to spend an entire Saturday morning weeding.

Or hire a yard care service.

Unless you want to reseed your lawn, don't pour boiling water on everything, as it will kill everything it touches. It may not be organic, but use round up, there is one that does not harm the grass, but is very effective for weeds without harming what grass you have. Make sure that any weeds you do have you don't let them go to seed or you will never see the end of them.
