Succulents don’t require a lot of water and actually do better being under watered rather than overwatered. That being said, never water any plant unless you have felt of the dirt and it is dry. Once you have determined that the plant actually needs water, give succulents about half the water you would give a regular plant. They do not like their feet (roots) to stay wet. Hope this helps

My grandmother used to grow cacti; she said she watered them when the newspaper said it was raining in Arizona.

I don't know where you are. I don't know what your climate is nor your soil type. Contact your local garden center/nursery. (not box store like Home Depot nor Lowes). Maybe first resort is your Co-operative Extension Service. Every state has it's own Co-operative Extension Service thru each State's University. Tyhey can also recommend a Master Gardener in your area who can give you lots more tips.

THEY DON' REQUIRE A LOT OF WATER, TOO MUCH WATER CAN KILL THEM. IF THEY ARE OUTSIDE MAKE SURE THE BED THEY ARE PLANTED IN HAS PLENTY OF DRAINAGE AND THEY WILL BE FINE. IF THEY ARE INSIDE THEY ONLY NEED TO BE WATERED ABOUT ONCE A MONTH . AGAIN MAKE SURE THE POTS OR CONTAINERS ARE IN HAS AMPLE DRAINAGE .
