I hope i can help- here are some ideas. Scrape off anything that's lifting or started to peel. Go to your home hard ware place and get wood grain contact paper to cover it or paint able wall paper-walmart usually carries paint able wall paper in there paint department for about $15 dollars a roll and there contact paper is about $5.60 a roll. if u do the contact paper -the wood grain contact paper i started at the top, slowly smooth down downwards-(i found a hard cover book works good to do this and you can use a pin to pop any air bubbles if u have them) and go down one side and back up the other side with the contact paper-for a wood look. if you want to paint ur cabinets then i suggest buying a paint able wall paper. (i helped the neighbor do hers a while back and we bought the extra glue for the wall paper then painted 48 hours later.) yesterday i did our entertainment center, that was peeling too- i painted it and bought stencils and stenciled it-looks great. i hope i have helped give u some ideas, good luck!
