Found this ugly brass lamp for $6.00. I loved the shape and size. A little spray paint and a lamp shade on clearance and now a chic lamp! Lamps are so expensive and I love them. This was a cool find!

Looks great...I just did something similar using chalk paint. I hope that painting the brass finish stays a well-kept secret in thrift stores - everything with that finish is dirt cheap! :-)
