Hi Linda, Put the grates in a large garbage bag and add a solution made of warm water and Dawn dish soap. Secure the bag with a rubber band and let it set overnight. Rinse with clean water and replace in the grill.

Stay with the grill while it is on as the fire could get out of hand. Keep waterclose by. Turn it off and allow it to cool. once cool the char can be removed with a brush. The exterior should come clean with soap and water.
Every time I clean my mirrors, they end up having tons of streaks and almost look worse than before I started. What could I use to clean them that won't leave streaks...
