Many people have asked if UNiCORN SPiT can be applied to plain glass rather than glass objects with a paint base. Well, here's a cute and inexpensive project to demonstrate just how that works !! I added a little Fall Flair so these dollar store vases can be used as seasonal décor !!!
Besides your UNiCORN SPiT, you will need a clear vase {dollar store find} and some Allure dimensional paint ! I do recommend the vase, or your glassware of choice be non-textured for this project :) The only prep needed for your glassware, is to make sure it's clean; free from dust  !
Allure dimensional paint is perfect for simulating leading . Think stained glass ! ..I made it easy on myself and drew out pumpkins. However, your imagination is your friend, and any images you can draw will be awesome ! Maybe some leaves, or trees !!
I then connected my images with rather random lines to give the illusion of pieces of stained glass. Allow your ALLURE to dry.
I chose my Fall color pallet and poured out my UNiCORN SPiT on to a plate. {Any type of pallet will do...paper plates are perfect } . I selected a small paint brush, and began with the pumpkin images.
I loaded my brush with several colors and began filling in my spaces with a 'dotting" process. The colors mixed with one another just enough to show the individual shades as well as the shades made by mixing them.
Here, you can see the yellow and brown mixed, with a surprise shade in between !!  Don't worry about getting the SPiT on the ALLURE, we can go back and touch that up later !!
Save the top spots for last, as you can use the empty spots to turn your vase as needed. Lastly, fill in the top, and allow to dry. UNiCORN SPiT dries to a chalky looking finish. This will change after we seal !!!
Before sealing, use your ALLURE to gently go back over any lines that may have a bit of SPiT on them...a little is all you need for touching up !!! {HINT: place the tip of the bottle directly on the line and very gently squeeze as you move the paint over the existing line}
Using an oil based sealer such as polyurethane, gently brush a coat over your vase..allow to dry.
It isn't necessary, but I do recommend a second coat of polyurethane for durability....pay attention to any pooling in corners, as the ALLURE is dimensional and sits higher than your SPiT,
Add a battery candle {2 for a dollar...batteries not included...but the dollar store sells those too !! } The light will shine through your UNiCORN SPiT,  giving the stained glass illusion to your seasonal masterpiece !! Perfect décor or holiday table focal point !!!
