Shed Away and Pretty Privacy Screen Update
Another low budget update. Smelly shed had to go and a privacy screen added.
The view from the kitchen window was an old shed. Ugly and depressing.
I asked the guys who were laying a new floor if they could knock down the shed.
...So this was what was left after the rubble was cleared. Yuck!
After cleaning up, I painted over the graffiti and the back wall.
There was nothing between my neighbour and myself but a chair. As much as I love my neighbour, this wouldn't do.
I screwed some little hooks in to the wall and used silicone to add extra weather protection. the hooks were used with plant wire to attach chicken wire.

Attached fake flowers too.
I painted the old shed door pink and attached a mirror and plants to it. I bought two waterproof mats from Lidl. Most of the plants are fake at the moment, but the sage is growing well here.
I threaded solar fairy lights through the leaves and flowers. They look very pretty at night. It will probably change several times over the next few years but for now I have a privacy screen and it's a lot prettier than it was. With the shed knocked out the kitchen is lighter and from the window I can now see up to the back garden.

Shangri-la , you made lemonaid out of lemons, well done, I love it. I thought I was the only one in the world to use " fake " plants here and there to enhance my garden ! Thanks for the share, quite enjoyable.

Like a previous commenter, I cannot find any text to describe what the creator did. Did s/he lay the concrete? Why artificial ivy? Did s/he have any soil to work with or is it all potted? Where did the rocks come from? Does the area have natural light--morning or evening? Nice use of black pots and wall decor. Quite inspiring--wish there was text!
This may not be answered as most of the questions/answers are from yesterday (Monday). Is that a dumpster placed in your back yard space? If so, my next question is: why?? The area is so small, it would be difficult to back up a truck to dump its contents. Is there a reason it's located there?

Very creative! I love the imagination to create such a lovely area. Just curious though..was this a walk thru passage previously? does Your neighbor have a similar area on the other side of the chair? Can the neighbor go thru the hanging greenery plants?
