Quirky to Quaint Little Dresser

I immediately saw the potential in this little dresser, it had nice detail, but that detail was being lost by the funky stain color. The lighter wood looked yellowish and the darker stain had a greenish hue. After I bought it I saw that it was a veneer, and I couldn't quite tell if the veneer was even real wood or not. Perfect little piece to paint if you ask me.
Someone put router detail on this piece and went off course a few time to I had to fill the funky grooves before getting started.
At this point I am already in love! I used Annie Sloan chalk paint in Duck Egg, French Linen, and Old White.
At this point I decided I did not like the grey top so I painted it Old White.
All ready for waxing
I even painted the back.
Isn't she a charmer!
I still wish I had kept this one and didn't sell it. I am hoping to come across with another one someday.

  • I am still on the hunt for another one, and I still haven't found one, and really really want one I can keep this time.

You definitely made the right choice, looks 100% better. And if there were mistakes in the router details you did a professional job fixing it. Great job!
