I'd love to know how to make chalk paint, could you send me the mixtures? Can they be used to paint any type of material (glass, wood, etc)

I have a lot of chalk needing to be used so this is perfect for me but Is the chalk used as the tint or does it matter? If I want a red dresser what color paint and chalk would I need to use? Remember this will be my first time trying chalk paint.
