Dresser/Entertainment Center Makeover

We've been using this dresser as our entertainment center for over 3 years now. It actually works really well for us because of the storage space. Since it isn't going anywhere soon, I decided it was high time I paint it up pretty!
I used CeCe Caldwell in Virginia Chestnut and American Paint Company in Treasure Box and Peacock. I primarily have browns in my living room, so the chestnut was kind of a no-brainer. I added the Peacock because I can't resist a good teal! I decided on the lighter color, treasure Box, because it seemed like the perfect match with the other two and it's a beautiful color!
Once it was all painted and waxed, I got some new knobs at Hobby Lobby. There are 15 knobs on this baby! So, of course, I waited until they were half off! But now it's officially finished and I'm loving the results!
You can see the entire makeover and a before picture over on the blog... http://deniseonawhim.blogspot.com/2014/03/our-entertainment-center-gets-makeover.html
Peacock was used in the floral carvings with Treasure Box painted on the drawer front.
The top was painted in brown with a light blue coat over and the light blue was also dry brushed on the edges.
A coat of Peacock with the original stain peeking through and pretty new but old-looking glass knobs.
The cupboard int he middle holds these two drawers, which I painted in Peacock for a little surprise!
The curves on this dresser really weren't noticeable to me until after the makeover. just shows what some paint can do to freshen up a piece of furniture!
Our fantastic new entertainment center led to many more projects around my living room too! Like the printer's tray shelf above the tv!
