It sometimes amazes me as to how much and how many things I have accumulated in the last 4.5 years since this crafting journey began. It started out small and easy to manage. However, over time it became overwhelming and difficult to keep track of what I had and where I put it. I've always done "projects" but never really got into the arts and crafts.
52 drawer cabinet
Before I became a Hometalker, I accquired this cabinet with 52 small drawers. As a project, I sanded the front of the drawers and painted with black chalk paint, lined each drawer with various colorful craft paper, cut to size. Once completed I used chalk to identify the drawers with letters. G has glue, K has knobs, E has eyeballs, etc. The top of the cabinet also is chalk painted so I could write on it.

Glass jar storage
Perhaps you saw my spice jar storage project here on Hometalk. I am now up to three of these (that's 60 jars total) to store my itty bitties. Behind the spice jar is what used to be a CD storage rack. As much as I can, I use a variety of glass jars to store like things together. It's really the only way I can keep track of these things at a glass When things go in a drawer, they go into the abyss.

Hanging Desk
This wall hanging desk has a number of features. I added a pegboard with hooks to hang a variety of jewelry pieces. It has no drawers, but I managed to find those little blue plastic drawers fit perfectly and the basket below hides a number of craft items. I used velcro to mount the electrical plug to the wall for easy access and to save limited desktop space. Check out the ruler that I hot glued to the desk on the right side - got tired of looking for that little fellow. A spring tension curtain rod is holding the ribbons and easily dismounts if need be. This desk BTW sells at Ikea. And of course, my little mannequins help to not only store but display more jewelry.
Although I don't like drawers, sometimes it is the only solution. This dresser, I found at a garage sale for "free". It was missing the runners on the bottom drawer. For about $7 and the help of my son, we managed to get it back to functioning. The 9 cubie cabinet that sits above allows me to add and organize even more "stuff".
.
I know how difficult it is to acquire shop type jewelry displays. Not sure you can see it but there are two such displays in the cubes and yet another on the right side. The ones in the cubes hold little packages you find hanging at the craft stores. And yes, if you look carefully, beneath the dresser is a full size baker's sheet where I store my small "sample size" paints. Not only is it a perfect fit, but it slides in and out easily on the carpet.
