1. Clean Your Coffee Maker with Vinegar
Cleaning your coffee maker with white vinegar at least once a month will drastically improve the taste of your coffee.
2. Remove Drink Rings with 1 Tbsp. Mayo
No, that’s not a typo – mayonnaise can actually remove drink rings from your wood furniture. Give it a try!
3. Clean Your Microwave by Heating a Lemon
This tip is too good not to share. Pop a lemon into the microwave to loosen food particles and create an instant air freshener.
4. No-Scrub Blender Cleaner
Let your blender do the work! Simplify your smoothie cleanup by filling the blender’s pitcher half way with hot water and then adding a squirt of dish soap.
5. Polish Copper with Salt and Lemon
Tarnished copper is such an eyesore. This trick starts working as soon as you start scrubbing – talk about instant gratification!
6. Clean Your Dishwasher
Trust us, once you take a look at the filter basket at the bottom of your dishwasher, you’ll be relieved to have these instructions handy.
7. Wash Your Pillows Twice a Year
You spend 1/3 of your life on your pillow, but have you ever cleaned it? Don’t fret – it’s not as complicated as you might think.
8. Remove Pet Hair with a Rubber Glove
This trick works better than a lint roller or duct tape.
9. De-Stink Your Garbage Disposal in 2 Minutes
Sometimes garbage disposals tend to smell like, well, garbage. Luckily, freshening your garbage disposal only takes a lemon and some baking soda.
10. Disinfect Your Kitchen Sponge in 30 Seconds
A study from the USDA found that the microwave is the best way to kill bacteria, yeast and mold in kitchen sponges.
