I received a sample of Country Chic paint and I fell in love with the color. The color used in this piece is Bliss.
BEFORE
Isn't the color just beautiful?
This is the piece I decided to try it out on.
I first cleaned my piece really well. I knew that I wanted to try something different on the top so I did sand that part just to make sure I had an even surface.
I painted the bottom part of the table first. The paint went on like a dream! This is just one coat! The coverage was very impressive. And the color, even more in love with it on the piece! Once the bottom was dry flipped it over and painted the top as well.
I gathered my stencil, paint brushes, make up sponges and Pixie Blenders for the top part of this project!
I have never done a Mandela stencil before so thought I would give it a whirl on here! I lined it up to be as close to center as I could make it and we were ready!
I used a make up sponge for the smaller parts. For me it was easier to control. This was really a time consuming process but I really think the end result was worth it.
Trying to choose where to put what color was somewhat of a puzzle but I managed to get through it! :)
Once I had the top done I applied a coat of Polyvine to the whole piece. I did give the top an extra coat. I love this sealer, it is so easy to work with and using the automotive sponge as shown I don't ever have streaks. Highly recommend!
DONE!
Here it is! I was pleased with how it came out! I think I will try this again! Thank you for checking my project out!
