What do you do with a broken flower pot? You could toss it, but if it's big enough, a broken pot fairy garden is a good option to upcycle your broken pot. This is a great option if you like puttering around with plants but want to scale down the size of the garden you are working with. All of my fairy gardens are in various size containers small enough for this senior lady and raised up enough so there is no bending involved in their care.
The broken Pot was cleaned, dried, and parts were glued into place and arranged for a fairy garden.
Once the glue dried the pot was lined with black landscape cloth and the bottom covered with coco fiber pot liner
Once the glue dried enough on the landscape cloth (only up to the soil line) the large section of the broken pot saved for the pot interior was put in place and the soil was added. Various plants were added along with a selection of "landscape" rocks. Although this is actually a very easy project if you already have the broken pot, there is quite a bit of thinking involved. Every little garden has its own design because of the nature of the materials. Once you decide on the general look and shape based on your raw materials everything should come together nicely. And if you are not pleased at first you can just rearrange the hard scape items or rearrange the plants and accessories.
Various "Fairy Garden Size" decorative items were added - then changed, re-arranged and etc.
As the fairy gardens are an ongoing project they are always evolving. Right now the Halloween decor is enjoying some time in the fairy garden. After Halloween the garden will be decorated and arranged for the Christmas Holidays.
Accessories for the garden are added as they are found. Plants are added and trimmed as needed. Seasonal decor changes with the holidays to make an always growing and always changing playground to play in.
