If you are in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area this weekend, be sure to stop by for the last few days of Phipps Conservatory's Orchid Show. It was a warm and colorful break from the doldrums of our cold, unrelenting winter! Here are a few of my favorite photos from the Sunken Garden room in the last wing of the conservatory.

My favorite place in the world! Just reminded my husband that it's time for Phipps again. My daughter lives in Oakland, so we always make it a point to stop at least once during the year, and spring and Christmas are my favorite times to visit.

  Thanks @Dee! I hope you can catch the orchid show today! The Spring Show will start in just a few weeks also. I have been going to Phipps since I was a little girl, and the fragrance of hundreds of tulips inside the glasshouse is something I will never forget. :)
