Painted Midcentury Cabinet - Robin's Egg Blue and White

I love a classic MCM piece and they usually look better in their original state but this poor piece needed love. It was so banged up and not real wood on top so I went for a painted look after failing at two-toned stained look.

Great job! I'm an antique lover like many who need alot of these posts. And as much we would love to keep the piece in its original state... Sometime painting is the way to go. I think it looks great and to those who are against painting wood...look at it this way, at least the piece was saved and not turned into firewood :)

@JoJo I agree! It was in rough shape and with all the patching there was no way the stain was going to go on evenly. I'm glad you like it.

i have a mid century side board that used to be my moms..i have been reluctant to paint it, but after looking at the beautiful job you did, and some the others that have painted their mid century furniture i now think i have that push to go on and paint it..thanks so much for sharing

I normally gravitate to older vintage furniture but this mid-century piece is a stunner! Love it!
