Salvaged Porch Floor Boards

We had to replace the old floor of our porch, I couldn't stand to see all that chippy goodness hauled off, so I convinced hubby to let me keep some for future projects. I wanted a vacancy sign for our guest room so I used one of the boards to make it. Now, if I can just get hubby to stop turning it to the "No Vacancy" side. My daughter's gave me this crab (love me some crabs) painting for Mother's Day. We were going to hang it unframed, but.....porch boards to the rescue again. Now, one more big project, and my boards will be used up.

Thanks Grant Enterprises South, My fondest childhood memories are of following my Pappa ( Great-grandfather) around in the yard and his old workshop. I loved all the old dirty dinged up well used stuff he had laying around(very neatly), awaiting it's new purpose. I wish I had some of that old stuff today. He ran a cypress mill in his younger years and kept alot of old throw aways and such.

Probably not old enough to be your greatgrandfather but 74 gets me close to that age !! Glad I brought back some memories, I too picked this up from others in my family !!
