Anything you put on those blades needs to be secure, so use a strong adhesive.
If there's a pull cord, I'd start there and make a nice bauble at the end (or going up the cord.)
You can get flat jewels at the craft stores if that's your thing and make a pattern that is distinctly yours and glue those suckers tightly.
Do not glue anything on to the blades.
The weight will off-set the balance and cause the blades rotate unevenly. It will be very hard on the internal bearings. They could easily come loose and fly off.
First rule: the fan blades have to be level in weight and have smooth surfaces for the fan to work properly. 1. Remove the blades carefully. The curved blade fasteners are more delicate than the blades themselves. 2. Clean the blades thoroughly, removing dirt and oils, and sand lightly. 3. Prime, paint as you wish, including metallics. 4. Stencil a fancy design with glitter glue or glitter paint, not glitter on top of paint because the glitter will fall off over time. 5. If you choose to glue on rhinestones or glitter or other embellishments, try to keep all the blades as level as you can. 6. If you want to use a sealer, use a spray sealer as it weighs much less. Best wishes 😇💞
Easy idea. My sister draped a garland of copper colored flowers over the top of the lights. Or you can stencil a design on the fan blades
Hi Chaz, hope this helps you out.
