Depends on how dirty it gets. Daily or weekly. Use washing up liquid. ( I think you refer to it as Dawn) This does not remove the factory gloss which chemical cleaning products do. I presume this is in the kitchen.

Typically, I use a dry dust mop 3-4 times per week to pick up dirt, pet hair, etc. Then, every week or two (as needed) I use a swiffer wet mop to lightly mop the surface and clean it more thoroughly.

Once a week I use a few squirts of Dawn dish liquid to on gallon of hot water. Once a month I use one cup of lemon scented ammonia to one gallon hot water. the ammonia removes old wax and deep grime. Then I use Mop and Glow.

Start by sweeping, then vaccuming the floor. Next Murphy's oil soap, gives a beautiful shine. Follow the directions on the bottle. This is not just for wood, many other cleaning surfaces have a nice shine when done also.
