    Yes, you can! Just mix glue with it and make into a paste.

    ^^ that's right, fine sawdust and glue 'is' the original wood filler, and you'll find some of us have one jar for walnut, one jar for oak, one for maple, etc, and mix it as we need it.

    Yes, you can mix sawdust with carpenters wood glue and use it to fill small holes, cracks etc. Let it dry completely and then sand smooth as usual.

    Don't see why you can't. Try a little mixed with some wood glue & see what happens.

    YES, Been doing it for years. Best if off the band saw because it is fine, Mix with a lighter color glue and it will match perfectly.

    Yes, but don't use wood glue. It won't take stain or some paints. Instead use Super Glue. You have to be fast to mix the saw dust and put it in the crack. There are slow drying Super Glues made for this purpose, but DO NOT stick you nose over the fumes. It'll make you gag, speaking from experience.
