Will painting my love seat make the cloth tear easier?

    Hi Pamela, I searched around but couldn't find anything that indicated that painting a love seat would make the cloth tear. Here's how one woman did it with a larger sofa:

    Just to be 100% clear, if the fabric is already thin or worn, there could be a chance that it might split. I'm not an expert, just a fellow Hometalk crafter like you. I answer questions like many others do, by researching online to see if we can find something that will help out a fellow Hometalker.

    I have read about a lot of people painting the cloth on their furniture, especially recently. I have never heard of any of them faced with the cloth tearing. Wishing you the best.

    As long as you use he wax after the paint is dry it should not cause the fabric to stiffen and tear.
