opening new bar and grill. tables and chairs need refreshing would using chalk paint work then finish top of tables with wax ?

I think that chalk paint would NOT hold up to a lot of traffic. Spilled alcoholic beverages and food continually washing. Better to put a finish on it that will stand up to a lot of use.

thanks so much, since there are a lot of each can you suggest a easy way to get the job done, it doesn't need to look that professional

  @Dana Pilrose Sooo many options and all depend on how fast you have to have it done. There is paint the bottom cover the top with special paper or fabric and then add glass. There is stain and finish everything, there is just paint and finish everything. It depends on what look and feel you want to have and remember which ever way you choose do it right. This is going to represent you.

I suggest stain the whole table and poly the base then for the tops use enviro-tex lite. It is used for bar tops. Stain and poly the chairs.
