Fence them out!
Unless you want to put a fence around them, there is not a good way to keep deer away from your flowers. There are many flowers that deer do not like, so you might consider planting something different that they won't be attracted to if it's a big problem.
thanks I thought maybe there might be a smell or something that made them stay away.
They hate marigold, you can try planting some of those
I recommend spreading some shredded Irish Spring bar soap in you beds. You can shred them on a box grater or even in a food processor. Deer and other small critters hate the smell and taste of the soap. And, here's the best part, it will not harm your plants at all. This method is effective and inexpensive.
Give them something else to eat, like berries, apples, etc. If you live in a rural area, you can leave out food. I live in a senior development where we can't fee the animals. You local pet store could help you out, and find something inexpensive, if you want a humane way to keep them off the flowers
