Separated countertops

I live in a rental house, and the house at some point has settled. The kitchen has laminate "granite" countertops that have separated from the sides on the wall and the back splash. Can the sides and back be pulled away from the walls and glued back down?

How wide is the crack....can it be caulked? Gluing it might work but how would you hold it against the wall while the glue dries?
As you are a renter, I recommend you show it to your landlord. If you fix it and there is a problem, you don't want to end up being blamed for damages.
In a rental house, you will need to contact your landlord first. It is best if they are ones that fix it. But generally, if it is not too big of a crack, it can be filled with caulk and then the caulk eventually painted the wall color to blend in with the wall.
What you're describing is a major repair and should be the landlord's responsibility.
