I would like to remove the printing on a light bulb.

    acetone (the nail polish remover no one wants to use any more) should work.

    if not, and you don't mind a little scratching? a 320 grit wet sandpaper or nail file will do it.

      Thank you Jean , the acetone worked , I have a 3 bulb fixture and always hated the almost grey globes , and couldn't get new white ones , so looking at new fixtures I decided to bulb into take the globes off and try different shapes and lights. The med round globes looked the best and I also painted the white rings black ( the part where you screw the

    Some have had success with soft steel wool and a bit of cleanser powder. But I would stay away from stuff that will stink when heated. Perhaps Dawn?
