Peace lily dying

I had to temporarily transfer peace lily to a slightly smaller pot. She started dwindling immediately. Does the pot size make that much difference?

yes,the roots need space.....Re-pot in the correct size container, keep moist not saturated

  • Yes! Pot size makes a huge difference. Get her a proper size pot and replant her with fresh potting soil and she should recover. Make sure her roots have room to roam a bit.

Transplant shock --- should go 1-2" larger -- not smaller; if you had to prune roots, she's really not feeling good -- keep in bright but not direct light, evenly moist but not 'wet' -- I let mine get very dry -- on the verge of 'wilt' before I water -and then thoroughly soak. not just top water -- hope she feels better -- don't 'feed' her ---

it could be transplant shock - they do fairly well in tight pots...the new pot might not have good drainage, and that's the worst for them .
