My dishwasher does not clean the dishes.

The soap dispenser opens but neither the pod or powder all comes out. The door is not trapping it. The detergent does not all melt.

Make sure the sprayers are clean and spin. The spray forces the soap or pod. Also make sure you water temp is hot and the heating element is working. I like to run my kitchen faucet to make sure hot water gets into the dishwasher. Less heating time with the element. Saves on energy and electric bill.

In that case put it in a bowl somewhere on the bottom rack and see if that works.........

First, unplug the dishwasher for 1 minute or more and plug back in. This will "cancel out" anything that's made it do its thing at the wrong time. Next, run the dishwasher on hot with white vinegar to clean all the orifices so that they work properly. Also always run the disposal prior to the d/w.

If the vinegar doesn't work, you may need to use a qtip to individually clean each water hole on the sprayer fans.

    Use a liquid dishwasher detergent.

Joyce, as William said make sure the dishwasher sprayers are clean... pour a cup of white vinegar into the sprayer holes, and run the dishwasher on hot wash.. make sure the dishwasher is empty...

    hope this helps.
