Design on A Dime...Rustic Glam Bedroom...Stage 1

My bedrooms seem to either never get done or are always the last to be decorated. I can tell you that I have never had a bedroom that I loved. It always seemed what was the point when we rented because most rental homes we lived in went up for sale a year in to it so I stopped taking time on my bedroom and just made the main living spaces inviting. However, now that we have our own home I'm excited to get this master bedroom plan rolling. First of all the bedroom is very, very small and with our huge bed we have barely enough room to walk around it. We have plans to bust through the closet which leads to another room and make it all one bedroom with a nice bathroom but that may be awhile because I'd much rather start on my kitchen remodel than my master, but that's just me. The only thing I do is watch a little television at night and sleep in it other than that the room doesn't get used much so I figure I'd work on all the other rooms in the house that we do spend a lot of time in before busting walls and starting that extravagant renovation. I have got tired of looking at my boring room so I put together a few items, bought a new quilt, and did a few diy's to turn it into a little rustic glam retreat. : ) http://quirkycool.blogspot.com/2014/03/a-rustic-glam-bedroom-makeoverstage-1.html
The sign above the bed I made from an old mirror. Painted it, distressed it a bit, wrote in chalk our favorite movie/quote and added some red lipstick kisses for a romantic cute quirk.
A rustic glam bedroom full of memories on a small budget.
Everything in this room I made or got for a discount.
These pictures on the nightstand I made with old love notes from my husband over the years.
A t.v. console we've had forever I redid with burlap and new knobs. I distressed it because I wanted it to look as if it came out of a winery. The burlap is wine labels.
I put white Xmas lights behind our curtains to add that touch of coziness to the bedroom.

Super cute!!! Love that it's not over-the-top girly; masculine enough for my husband! Love the little vignettes, and how awesome is your TV stand??
