There is something called a Metpost and it comes with a flat fixing to Concrete or Timber or a Spike Fixing for Direct into Soil. Metposts hold a Timber Upright, so you could do that, Or for PVC Handrail and Posts. Dig a
Hole 12" deep. set in the Post (Be sure it is straight) use a Spirit Level, then
back fill with "Postcrete" and water it in. It should go off in 10 mins. Do the same for the other post. and your done. Leave for 24 hrs. then go ahead and fix the rail .
