My sun roof leaked in my car.

Hi, I have a real problem. Not sure if you can help. But where else can I ask when there are so many smart people right hear. The sun roof in my car πŸš— leaked it was pretty bad. It's finally fixed. But my problem is now my head liner is starting to fall down at different places. Can I glue it back up. Or is there some other way of fixing this problem. Then I'd like to know if I can paint the cloth head liner. Because there's water πŸ’¦ stains all over. It's now a light beige color but any color would work. Hope somewhere out there in the Hometalk world can help me.

  • Excellent question! Yes you can but you need the appropriate glue. Any auto parts store will be able to help you. Here are a couple links to help you out. Then once that is complete and dry, I would use a washable fabric paint from any craft or hobby store and use "foam" brushes to apply. Good luck!

I too had a leak in my hatches on my firebird. The only thing to do was to take it back to dealer and have it fixed professionally, lucky it was under waranty. I don't know any other way. Maby more solutions coming.

Start with the name of your car, and it's manufacturer, and the year. Are you the only owner? If you provide us me with this information, you can maybe get the inside roof changed at no charge. I'll give you the corporate phone number, and then you can find a dealer in your area. The roof leaked, that's why your headliner is coming down and stained. They should pay for it to be fixed. Because your car is old, it doesn't matter what year it is, your leak ruined the headliner in your car. Give it a try
