1.) Take off old fabric carefully so you can use it as a template. Pin to new fabric allowing 2 more inches just to be safe. You can always cut some off. Lay fabric on floor and place top of stool in the center. Use a staple gun. Begin by placing a staple in the center of each side. Make sure you pull fabric snug but not too tight. For the corners, staple in the middle and fold each side into itself (does that make sense.) Cut any excess fabric off. If you make a mistake or get the fabric uneven or crooked, use a staple remover and start over. 2.) Use a hot glue gun. 3.) Use furniture tacks.
