I was so tired of my family's phones, tables, music players and other electronics cluttering up my kitchen counters and using up all my outlets. So I decided to build an electronics charging station hidden in a vintage bread box.
The box had enough room for a power strip which allowed us to charge ALL our electronics and it was large enough to accommodate even our largest tablet. I painted the box to match the kitchen cabinets and so now it blends in perfectly with the rest of the kitchen and unless you opened it, you would never guess it was full of electronics.
A more detailed tutorial on how I retrofix the bread box can be found here: http://www.thekimsixfix.com/2014/03/electronics-charging-station-disguised.html

I've been looking for a charging station to sit on the kitchen counter and this is the perfect idea! Going to the flea market today to look for an old bread box!!

Great idea! I'm with you, I don't like all that stuff on my counter either, matter of fact being close to the sink or cooking around electronics is not a great idea. Thanks for the heads up. (Use to have a bread box like this but got rid of it, bread always got moldy in it extra fast...)
