Fill a squirt bottle with half water and half vinegar. Spray the vinegar solution on the glass. Saturate a towel with the vinegar solution. Scrub the glass lightly with the towel. Allow the vinegar solution to sit. Finally, remove the vinegar solution with a dry towel or squeegee and voila- clean windows!
I use extra fine steel wool to clean my windows. It works so well to get water marks off. I also use it on my Formica countertop, it makes it shine again.

I have good results using a micro-fiber cloth. Those things are great! Good Luck!
