Deer will eat absolutely anything that has tender green leaves or growth.

I did a little looking around the web and the closest that I got to answering this was "probably"; so I don't really know. I wish that I could be of more help.

Doubt deer would eat those woody stalks but a moose might.

Deer usually go for the flowers and leafs. But, when hungry, they might eat stalks too.

We have deer and lots of sunflowers, and we have never had deer eat the sunflower stalks; they are just too woody. Deer, when in a pinch (very deep snow) will eat the twig ends from trees but never the stalks.
