Recommended paint color to achieve medium brown on furniture

Go to your favorite big-box store and pick up a handful of paint swatches that appeal to you. Take them home and study them awhile, sometimes it clicks all at once and you know what color you want, sometimes you have to look at them awhile. Have fun with it!
