How can I make a fabric n tile trivet heat proof

I have lots of scraps of fabric n thought about adding them to tiles to make trivets for Christmas. I was going to use Mod Podge to glue the fabric to the tiles, what I need to know is what I can seal it with to make it with stand the heat?? Thanks
