I have a gas fireplace that has gold metal trim insert .
The insert does not come out. I want to paint it black. How do i do this and what paint to use

we just updated ours and used the rust-oleum hi-heat flat black spray paint shown in the video above. cover everything around it with tape and paper. make sure you have ventilation but not so much that it affects the spray. looks great! 8^)
eThere is a product called high heat spray paint. I just Googled it and there are lots of options. You'd need to tape off everything you don't want painted though. I painted my metal wall heaters and they look great
