Yes, I use the top of a milk jug to keep my brown sugar fresh. I just cut off the spout of the milk jug. I pull the brown sugar bag up and over the top of the spout and then screw the lid back on. Works great. I would say the bigger the spout and cap, the easier it would be to use.
