makes a nice plug for mice holes. its also used in refinishing items, taking the paint/ varnish off to the bare wood. like sand paper it comes in different grades.
when my cast iron pots get a sticky mess i may clean them with steel wool and dish soap.
I love using this to get those impossible stains off my pots and pans!
I use steel wool to plug mouse holes since they can't chew through it. I also use it to give a light scrub to metal projects.
steel wool has alot of good uses, it's used for taking out stubern stains in sinks, tubs, tools, sanding wood, getting stuck on food off some pans, it's a great product. We always have steel wool around the house and garage
