If you have a small area, then they can be a quick contained way to brighten up white grouting. However, over a large area they are not cost effective, and still require getting down on knees and "painting" the lines carefully.
In my opinion no. They are so hard to use.
i used the one As Seen On T V and it was like painting white shoe polish on , I did not use it
I have never had luck with any that I've tried. They don't cover well and the grout lines quickly look tired, worn out or dirty again no matter how much one scrubs....unless you're going to a black grout, all grout will dirty in a matter of time no matter how clean you are.
They make a great difference. But, it doesn't last for ever. Too much steam and heavy use will show soil after a while. I just touch up when I wash the floor after they start to show wear. I have done two small and one larger bathroom, walls and floor.
