Faux Speckled Egg Mason Jars
I love the look of speckled eggs come springtime. I wanted to see how far I could take that look by adding speckles to other decor items, such as mason jars. It was tricky at first. But I have found at least one way to get the look with with a faux-speckling texture technique.
Faux speckled egg mason jars
Paint up some mason jars
Crumple up wax paper and then drip speckles onto wax paper with a basting brush.
Decoupage speckled paper onto mason jars
Fill with candy or treats, cover the top and give one away as a gift.

I like these. I'm afraid of the wax paper though. Do you think white tissue paper (wrapping tissue, not facial tissue
) would work?-
