Hello everyone! So, there was a beautiful mirror wall art at Pier 1 imports, that I liked so much, but I didn’t want to pay for the pricetag of what it was going for, so I decided to create my own mirror art using a beautiful doormat!! It turned out so beautiful! Here is how I achieved my beautiful art mirror:
I started by purchasing a scroll doormat from Home Depot, a foam board from dollar tree and a mirror sticker from amazon.
Step 1
I then used my rustoleum spray paint in silver to spray my mat. I did 2 coats of paint. After my mat was dry, I then sprayed it with my krylon glitter blast daimond dust.
Step 2 - Spray Paint Doormat
Next, I cut the mirror sticker and foam board to fit the frame of the mat and then I attached the mirrro stick to the foam board.
Step 3 -Place Mirror sticker unto Foam board
Then I placed my doormat on the board using my e6000.
Step 4 - Place doormat unto foam board
The next few steps ar option. Using my hot glue gun, I placed some flower mesh rhinestone on the circle all around the mat to add a little glam to it. And I also placed a crystal button in the middle.
Step 5 - Add rhinestone and button
Lastly, I framed the mat by placing diamond wraps all around it. And that’s it!
Step 6 - Add diamond wrap

My question should have been: is the "mirrored paper" actually a roll of contact?

  • Cheryl Cheryl on Jul 12, 2018

Can the mirror be hung? Does the mirror sticker actually look like a mirror?

Absolutely fantastic, i love how it turned out but also love everything that you put around that genius mirror. I am moving soon and I will try to copy the whole visual. Thank you for that.
