Coral & Mint Nightstand Makeover

This nightstand was given to me by my next door neighbor before she moved. She always saw me working on furniture in the garage, so she was sweet enough to give me lots of pieces she didn't need anymore. It was very dark to start with, and I felt it needed a fun refresh!
This is the before. It was very dark and dated. It was a heavy piece, but had a laminate covered top. I gave it a coat of Zinnser primer first.
After the primer dried, I gave it a coat of mint on the base and coral on the drawers. I kept the hardware and just sprayed them white.
While it was drying, I accidentally bumped into the piece and smudged the finish. Instead of re-doing it, I just went with it and made it a distressed piece. I'm not usually a big distressed furniture kind of gal, but I love how this one turned out!
